Nolensville Planning Commission Meeting Thurs. 3/9/06, 7 PM

Don't miss this important Planning Com-
mission meeting on Thurs. 3/9/06. This
is the first meeting our interim mayor
will be a participating member. It is a
new opportunity for local citizens to ask
questions. Yes, you can ask the Planning
Commission to start a motion to get rid of
PUDS. This motion can then be acted upon
at Board/Mayor/Aldermen meeting 4/6/06.

Also you can ask the Planning Commission
and Mayor's Board why they did not do as we
wanted and clearly stated in the 2005 survey
...NO PUDS!

Ask how they could justify going in the exact
opposite direction and based on what plan?

Ask for specific promises that the boards and
commissions will not operate as they did in the
past.
Request that citizens be informed at
every step of the planning process in clear and
understandable English...no more numbers
only. Add a brief description of project so we
can follow entire process. This is an open-to-
-public meeting so make the most of it.
Get
your neighbors to come out and participate.

Here is the link for the agenda.

Send in your comments and emails.

Trust who? Town Hall, or our own common sense. Pray for wisdom, go to the meetings, and decide for yourself.
Nolensville can't afford any more MISTAKES.

No, they are not doing a great job. They are going against our wishes. That is not doing a great job. No wonder!!!! Dugger in real estate!!!!So, it is not about what is good for our city, it is what is good for him, regardless of our opinions!!! Makes sense now.
What a scene the other day! So glad Knapper is out. Yes, it is a good idea for him to go back to school. It is our town, we decide. It is our American way.
I will be there tomorrow again. No more PUDs period. Thanks again for the blog.

I have a question....
Can the BOMA have a meeting and vote on issues like they did last Thursday without having a Mayor and 4 Aldermen in place?

Town homes

The board approved of rezoning a tract of land in back of the post office to commercial services to allow an office and retail complex to be built.

Originally, the area was the last bastion of Urban Residential zoning with a density that could have allowed town homes or a senior citizens community to rise there.

"This is the last area in town where you could get affordable housing," said Alderman Larry Felts, who cast the only negative vote.

But fellow Alderman Jimmy Alexander didn't agree.

"Basically, you have 12 acres that could allow for 60 town homes, and they could be rental town homes. We're not ready for this at this location," he said.

This was in the Williamson AM this past Sunday. I thought they basically had shelved all issues until they could add another Alderman. Anyone know if this is legal?

Can someone explain to me the difference between a PUD, SR, and ER? What are the pros and cons of each?
