"WE ARE SELLING BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO BE AROUND WHEN MORE GAS STATIONS, FAST FOOD DRIVE-IN'S & ELECTRONIC EXPRESS COME!"
Here they come! 3,000 projected homes and golf course in
College Grove! Triune 265-acre farm sold for 12,5 million
or $47,000 per acre and 6.4 acres zoned commercial along
highway priced at $200,000 per acre. People in Triune
when asked why they were selling said "they don't want
to be around when the truck stops come!"
Now comes the question "What about Nolensville?" Who is
protecting our town's resources and future growth? Who
is planning our traffic routes? What about some badly need-
ed traffic lights? Drive up the road to new Concord Shopp-
ing Center they have not one, but three new traffic lights?
Our town has not one? Try driving thru the intersection of
Rocky Fork and Nolensville Road in early morning and at
night? 25 cars backed up in every direction honking and
shouting sweet terms of endearment to each other? Just
wait till the new school opens...total grid-lock? Anybody
care? Anybody plan for this? Where does the buck stop?
Who knows how much this explosive growth is costing our
town? How many impact fees have we deposited in our
town's bank account to service all of these new subdivis-
ions? Zip you say? None? Nadda? Why?
Think we need a 24-7 professional town manager like
nearbyBrentwood and Franklin. Think we will get one?
Don't hold your breath! How about that Finance Com-
mittee of local qualified professionals? Don't bet on it?
Now that the elections are over are we in trouble right
here in Nolensville? You decide? Better yet is the Pope
Catholic? Tell us about your priorities? Excuse me you
say you are selling out? Well then forget the priorities?
