WE ARE STILL HERE, JOE, WE STILL LOVE YOU AND IF YOU DON'T MIND WE'D LIKE TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW!
A blog reader said,
"If people really knew
how bad things are in
our town government.
I am sure they would
have voted for you."
Most voters don't have
a clue about happenings
in our local government.
Women voted for the women in our recent election.
Kirby got 370 votes and did nothing. And Dugger got
752 votes for alderman because of the ignorance of
local voters. Our blog readers know of his poor record,
but very few local voters attend the board meetings
and don't know.
Joe Curtsinger lost this election because of a premed-
iated, illegally organized group determined to distri-
bute and mail as much slanderous and libel HATE
reports about him as possible.
We knew that it would be unlikely that very many
would be able to report enough information about
the hate mailing in local mail boxes even with $250
reward. Others were too afraid.
It has got to be a very low point in our local election his-
tory to have to suffer with this kind of HATE toward one
of our elected officials. It is common knowledge that two
of our local people declared in print that they would do
all they could to prevent Curtsinger's election as Mayor.
Sad to say they are after the election still working at
their sorry busy body hateful distribution of lies,
slander and libel.
Yes, they got away with distributing hate mail in your
mail box and many others. The police can do nothing...
the postal authorities cannot or will not. The result was
that they were able to slander a candidate and not be
prosecuted for it by the authorities and thereby win
the election.
Of course, they will deny all of the above with even more
hateful responses to try and shift the blame to anyone
but themselves. It won't work. We are certain that most
of the people that voted for Lothers don't like this hate
mail business and will quickly deny that Lothers had
anything to do with it.
Dependable sources tell us that Lothers doesn't want to
be associated with these "two" hate-mongers and nobody
else does either. The election is over and this stuff should
end, but it won't! These two will contine to try and divide
our town and its people pitting one against another.
Yes, all of us at the blog worked hard to get our candidate
elected as did the Lother's people. Unfortunately, we
were attacked with a "smear" campaign that was ruthless
and was willing to break the law.
Some have said that the legal problems that Curtsinger
was having to work through should have been addressed
with the public. At first, it sounds like a good idea but
when faced with these kinds of "smear" merchants no
amount of explanation would have been enough.
Let's look at the people who declared openly that they
were out to figuratively "hang him on the highest tree".
Dugger declared openly that he was against his campaign.
Alexander jumped for joy at the mere prospect of new and
slanderous complaints against Joe that he could wallow in
and put it in writing in an email for all to read.
And Felts who really knows what he thought? One thing is
for sure he would vote against Joe every chance he could.
Now comes the most difficult question...how does Lothers
honestly feel about Joes' campaign and how involved was
or is she in this "smear" campaign? She could resolve this
question by sending out a statement about it. The reason
why she should is obvious...unless she does...most people
will be convinced that she was a party to the hate mailings
and that this "smear campaign" orchestrated by these
two was the reason she won the election?
What a sad, sick and sorry reason to win an election?
If it is really true then her four years in office will be
doomed to total failure. And any Christian testimony
by Lothers will be an awkward attempt to convince
people you are something you are not.
Let's end this on an upnote of truly inspiring behavoir
by candidate Curtsinger. Despite attack after attack
he did not respond "in kind" but rather in a cool pro-
fessional attitude he kept to the issues and the facts
about how poorly our local government is being run.
Send in your comments and tell us what you think
about our Election 2006 and the future of our town?

Hi,
No worries Joe!
What stood out to me is that, all the business folk in nolensville had signs up for you. That should have been a good indication to the home owner that we need a change.
If 90% of all business owners and commercial land owners wanted you, that tells me something.
I think the business owners knew something we didn't.
