FRANKLIN SELLS OUT TO THE DEVELOPERS, AGAIN! SOUND FAMILIAR? NOLENSVILLE???













this will be a script that Nolensville will no doubt
follow. Just substitue names and places. The
Franklin Planning commission presented the
Southern Land Corp. all of the plans and work
for completion of Mack Hatcher road, allows
SLC to put their name on them, and then
charges Franklin a cool one Million Dollars.
(Remember SLC has employee on the
Franklin board and the Mayor and others
are long time brokers/realtors, etc. on the
board.)
And so does Nolensville---town attorney
works for Southern Land Corp. doing titles.
Dugger is and has been a realtor the entire
time he has been on the board plus many
more realtor friends involved in local political
affairs. Seems many voters still cannot see
any kind of conflict of interest?? Oh, Well?
"There's nothing like a 800-Gorilla
(Southern Land Corp.) to wield power in
the fair city of Franklin." Nolensville is
probably next on the to do list of SLC.
A very valuable road map for other cities to
follow especially when their Planning Com-
missions don't really know what they are
doing???? Now that you have a program
you can watch for the tell tale signs of our
Planning people doing the same thing?

HERE'S WHAT PEOPLE IN FRANKLIN KNOW HOW
THEIR MAYOR FEELS ABOUT DEVELOPERS AND
THE UNPLANNED FOR GROWTH IN FRANKLIN.

path of growth, it is not tantamount to winning the
lottery. The choice facing them is to lower the price
of their land to a point that the DEVELOPER can
present a plan that meets Franklin’s standards, or let
the land sit until they do." Franklin Mayor Tom Miller.

Franklin resident speaks up...
It is just bizarre that Tom Miller thinks that HE is
the arbiter, not the free market, of land prices! The
price of land will be, ultimately, whatever the market
(the developers) will bear. Tom seems to think that
land pricing should somehow run contrary to the
market-driven philosophy that drives our entire
economy. Tom seems to think that Franklin and
Williamson County are in a special class of land-
owners...they should bend over and just take what-
ever the developers will pay, so that THEIR "...
numbers work". So, developers in the audience...
just what IS that number?? Just how much profit
(i.e. greed) do you have to have to do a deal?? 25%
return? 50%? 100%? 250%? 2,000%? My view:
they ain't makin' dirt any more. It's a valuable, non-
renewable commodity. The landowners should get
every last dime that THEY WANT out of THEIR
DIRT so that THEIR "...numbers work". And if their
price doesn't work for a developer, either another
one will come along WITH the "right number", or
the landowner and/or their heirs, can rightfully
choose to hang onto THEIR DIRT until the cows

ASK OUR NEW MAYOR AND BOARD WHAT IS
THEIR POSITION ON THE FUTURE GROWTH OF

ALL??? SINCE IS IT OBVIOUS NOT MUCH HAS
BEEN DOWN TO PROTECT THE TOWN FROM

DIMOCRATS MAKE US SO ASHAMED OF THEIR SUPPORT OF OUR TROOPS!

Jack Murtha seems to think that he is in charge
of the world. He must feel pretty unstoppable
because he was able to dodge that huge bullet
regarding taking a bribe. Any guy who is on a
film trying to find a way to take $50,000 and
then avoids prosecution while his cohorts get
nailed must feel a little cocky. Being an unin-
dicted co-conspirator must be a badge of honor.

Murtha is hell bent on helping the terrorists win
the war on terror in Iraq. He is drafting legis-
lation that will keep the President from deploy-
ing troops and will place restrictions on what the
President can do. It would appear that ABSCAM
Murtha is trying to usurp the Constitutional
authority that the President has to wage a war
that Congress overwhelmingly approved.

The Bush administration “won’t be able to continue.
They won’t be able to do the deployment. They
won’t have the equipment. They don’t have the
training and they won’t be able to do the work,”
Murtha said in the post on the Democrat-friendly
Web site MoveCongress.org. “This vote will limit
the options of the president and should stop this
surge.”~snip~
“We need to make sure that everybody understands
we’re going to support the troops. We’re going to give
the troops everything they need. We’re not going to ..
make any of them vulnerable,” Murtha said. “But
we’re going to make darn sure that they have what
they need before they go over.”

So what this jackass is saying is that his legislation
will limit the administration’s ability to prosecute the
war. The troops will not have equipment or training
to go into combat. Murtha will also stop more troops
from going to the combat zone. Then, in the next
breath he says that they support the troops and the
troops will have everything they need.
What they need you bloviating criminal are more
people to fight the war. Ideally, we need ten times
what is being sent so we can crush the opposition.
How can this idiot say they will have everything they
need when his bill would, according to his own words,
take away what they need?
Additionally, this moonbat used Move On’s website
to get his message out. What does it say about this
man that he used an anti American organization’s
website to get his message out?

This is pure double talk and smacks of Bush Derange-
ment Syndrome. Murtha will do whatever he can to
hurt President Bush regardless of how it affects our
troops.
Murtha is a disgrace to this country and the way he
is using our military as pawns in the game of Presi-
dential chess is nothing short of treason. In earlier
times he would have been taken out back and
hanged.

There is another classic line from ABSCAM Jack:
The Pennsylvania Democrat added that he is also
considering language in the legislation that would close
the military prisons at Guantanamo Bay and Abu
Ghraib, and the bill might include a provision requir-
ing the president to get approval from Congress
before taking any military action against Iran.

Murtha will close down two prisons in order to protect
the poor terrorist bastards that want to kill us while
screwing the brave men and women of our armed
forces.
This guy is truly worthless and should have been voted
out of office. The people in Pennsylvania should really
feel proud right about now. Interestingly, his legislation
will require the President to get Congressional approval
before any military action against Iran
.

approval. If this is the case, why do we need that
legislation?

The ace in the hole here is that any bill that they want
to make a law has to be signed by the very president
they are trying to screw. If George Bush does not veto
any such bill that hits his desk I would have to question
whether or not he has lost his mind.

So I do not condemn Clinton and other Democratic
presidential candidates -- Chris Dodd, Joe Biden and
John Edwards -- for voting for the war because I
would have done the same. I fault them, though, for
passing the blame to Bush as the guy who misled
them.

In hindsight, of course, everyone conveniently sees
reasons -- which were apparent to no intelligence
agency on earth at the time -- to question whether
Saddam actually had WMD. But by arguing that,
as senators, they were simply duped by a fiendishly
deceptive, manipulative president (and haven't we
been told all these years that the President is dumb
and inarticulate?), the senators named above
disqualify themselves for higher office.

After all, it doesn't work that way. What are they
going to tell us in a few years: Sorry, Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad fooled us into thinking that he didn't
have nuclear weapons. Oops, looks like Kim Jung Il
went ahead and developed nukes even when he
promised he wouldn't (come to think of it, that's
happened to one Clinton Administration already).

Hillary Clinton deserves special blame for taking
this tack. Her husband, too, believed that Saddam
had WMD. She took a tough stance on the war not
only for that reason, but because she knew it was
necessary to be taken seriously as a female
presidential candidate.And it doesn't speak well
either for her intelligence or integrity when she
claims that another man just took shameless
advantage of her little 'ole trusting self.

Have You Heard the News? Our new Mayor Quietly Told the "G-Man" Stop Messin' With the BOMA Minutes!

People who know our new mayor, say
she welcomes a "diversity of opinion"...
and that is a good thing. Very few in
public office like to answer questions
and most find a way to not answer
those hard questions.

Seems she has quickly caught on to the

to every BOMA meeting.The town hall
doesn't need his help in keeping records
of the minutes...much less interpreting
them via his own special flavor of the
month. KUDOS TO OUR MAYOR!!!!
Now why not take a look at the job that
our current webmaster is doing
for the town hall website...especially
the seven thousand dollars to maintain
the site?

Mayor why not use the town website to
communicate with everybody...about
what is happening? 16 or more new
developments are full and over-flowing
with computers and people who know
how to use them.

How many readers of the blog would
read the town website with a new and
frequent message from the mayor?

any wonder why politicans on the national
and local level are held in such low esteem.
Why can't she fly in a commercial jet pack-
edin with the masses...and get to know the

the outrage? When will the State shut down
this serious hazard to the 42,000 or more
people on this system???

Future Real Estate Office of our former interim mayor and
newly elected alderman. This was the Marusa family home
that was finally sold by Mr. Dugger as a real estate agent
to Ken Kelley Real Estate. Kelley quickly got the property
rezoned commercial courtesy of our former interim mayor.
Now Dugger is moving in his new real estate offices thanks
to Ken Kelley Realtor. Opps, forgot to mention the realtor
fee paid to Dugger while serving as interim mayor based
on some $300,000 as the final selling price. Very nice and
tight working realtionship...no conflict of interest here?
Franklin and many other cities in the county are afflicted
with the same or much worse conflicts of interest here's

"It has a stink to it. It looks like a small group of

The Parks Group .Competing companies have
accused Miller of forcing them to improve a road
that would benefit a subdivision developed
by The Parks Group's sister company, which also
employs Miller's wife. Miller has said he doesn't
see a conflict of interest because he didn't gain
personally. (Goes pretty deep!)
Worst part of the whole mess is that voters cont-
inue to re-elect these people to office. When will
voters ever learnhow much this reflects on each
local town government?

BLAST AWAY!!! DESPITE NOLEN PARK RESIDENTS' COMPLAINTS BLASTING TO CONTINUE!












Hello! Nolen Park People! No state violations
of blasting were found by State Fire Marshal
and ATF investigation. It appears your comp-
laints have been filed in the "round" file
secure and away from your eyes.

Surprised? Not! State Law allows blasting non-
stop in Nolensville 7 am to 7pm! No need to fret
law requires contractor to blow his horn 9 times
before the blast and once after the blast.

Why after the blast you ask?

Well the contractor is supposed to examine the
blast site for unexploded dynamite and then sound
the all-clear.

Do they do this site exam? Who knows?

According to state officers assigned to check out
contractors NO! They had the same problem with
Bent Creek where it appears too many times the
all clear never happened? Too many times bull-
dozers drive over explosives still in the ground
blowing them sky high!

Mayor has met with the "blasters" and they have
agreed on rock-solid stuff...
like study potential
adoptions. Research tenative enforcements(over
coffee) in future on-site pre-construction meetings.
Also lobby State Legislators for more controls some-
where over the rainbow?

How's that for speedy solutions? Sleep tight Nolen
Park your Mayor has met the "blasters" head-on!
No more airborne rocks flying over-head until Monday
when blasting starts all over again.

and road maintenance is 188% OVER BUDGET!
Town has spent $236,000 year-to-date trying to
service all the old and NEW STREETS. Wanna
guess how much more OVER BUDGET town will
be come spring time?
How much money going down the ole drain hole?
Well look at 369% OVER BUDGET in Professional
services? And 136% OVER BUDGET IN Architect-
ural & Engineering services? Is this where the new
Design/Review bobble is paid for? With more time

The State legislature has opened all of Tennessee
to the biggest land grab in the history of the State.
NO MORE IMPACT FEES means housing deve-
lopers and realtors have a totally free and clear
path ahead. No more charges to help fund the
schools, road maintenance, fire and police
departments.
Just like Nolensville, most smaller towns in all of the
95 counties don't have professionals in office to deal
with developers and realtors. In fact, just like Nolens-
ville many towns have realtors and developers on the
board. Bottom line...towns are held hostage to these
lobby groups i.e. realtors/developers.
