Who Enforces the "No Construction Traffic Signs??

YES!...these signs were approved by the BOMA but with one glaring oversite...How to enforce them?
Nobody knows? So let's go to the Town Hall Website and email the Mayor. He has no Adminstrative Assistant...no full time Town Manager...so it must be the Mayor's job to enforce the No Construction
Traffic signs. Why not? Police are too busy. It's probably not a job for Codes...so it's gotta to be the
Mayor and several Aldermen. Email them now and let's get some action.

And yes it is true that the Bent Creek Officials agreed not to use the intersection of Nolensville Rd.
and Clovercroft Rd. for construction traffic. Instead they were supposed to use Williams Rd. south
on Nolensville to reach Clovercroft and Sam Donald building sites. But truck drivers soon realized
how unrealistic the Williams Rd. route was and continue to ignore it. Why? Too far around the barn!

Mr. Mayor nothing has changed...trucks are still rolling in both directions in and out of construction sites...your signs are invisible---they don't exist. Might as well take them down because the developers
don't know they exist. Besides we don't want to upset the developers and their deep pockets.

SUPER/SIZE "WHOPPERS" YOU WON'T BELIEVE!

FIVE MORE YEARS IN A STRIP MALL?

2 MILLION DOLLAR TOWN HALL SITE?

TEMPORARY TOWN HALL WITH 4.5 ACRES ON CLOVERCROFT RD.

No. 1 WHOPPER! Remember the Tennessean article Monday 6/6/05 headline read Nolensville Awaits Appraisal on proposed town hall property? The word was that the current lease is up on 12/31/05 per landlord/realtor Ken Kelley. But the article stated the Mayor said he was able to work out a deal to continue the lease up to 5 years with a 90-day cancellation. The Mayor said "we are no longer under the gun of losing our lease."

OPPS??? We have been told none of the above has been VOTED ON and APPROVED BY BOMA (Board of Mayor/Aldermen), the Planning Commission and the Town Hall Committee. The article states the Mayor favors the 2 million dollar site across Nolensville Road from the Piggly Wiggly for sale by Kelley Properties. We were also told this site was voted down by BOMA and the Planning Commission. Alderman Joe Curtsinger, Chairman of the town hall committee said "so many people on so many committees have endorsed the purchase of a private residence (pictured) on Clovercroft.

No. 2 WHOPPER! Same Tennessean article: "The Mayor said that the Planning Commission, of which the Mayor is a member, went against a previous vote on a comprehensive plan to keep the commercial center of town along the North Nolensville road corridor by recommending that the town hall be farther out from this area." SURPRISE..SURPRISE?

We are told there never was a vote on any kind of a plan for a commercial center plan...WHY YOU ASK???. because there is no formal final draft of this plan and it has never been approved or voted on ... PERIOD! One thing is for certain and that is the residents and taxpayers of Nolensville must not be pressured into approving the purchase of a 2 MILLION DOLLAR SITE across from a "strip mall." Where is it written that the new town hall must be located on Nolensville road??? Answer: Nowhere!

The next Nolensville BOMA MEETING IS THURSDAY 7/7/05.

Click on the town hall website. Hopefully the July meeting agenda will be posted prior to the meeting. Plan now to be there and you will be able to speak out.

CONSTRUCTION TRUCKS TRAMPLE CITY STREETS

10 TONS TOO MANY FOR NOLENSVILLE CITY STREETS

CITY DOESN'T REALLY MEAN NO! AT LEAST NOT QUITE YET?

ROUGH AND READY TO RUIN NOLENSVILLE CITY STREETS!

Pictures taken today 6/21/05 corner of Nolensville Road and Clovercroft. All trucks headed for Bent Creek driving right past new city sign that says- NO CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC! Seeing is is believing...Yes Virginia it's true truck drivers cannot read and the sign really doesn't mean what it says. Well not really! Because no body is paying one wit's attention to the new signs and our limited Police force cannot camp on the corner to write tickets to truck companies that probably won't pay them. Click on the town hall website and email the Mayor and or
aldermen...
even the Police Chief. Just maybe a miracle will erase these meaningless signs??

NO MORE CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC? NOT YET!

Construction traffic still rolls right by new city signs!

Remember those new city signs--No Construction Traffic???Well it's been 2 weeks or more and no change! The big rigs are still roaming the streets of Nolensville..crushing the roads...creating clouds of dust and breaking down the pavement. What can you do?? Well click on the town hall website and email the Mayor & alderman...also the Police Chief...where's the enforcement? Rumor has it that construction traffic must use Williams Road off Nolensville Road to reach Bent Creek ...sorry it just isn't happening! Not 2 weeks ago and not now.

Best New Nolensville Town Hall Location!

Future Bent Creek Shopping Center

Look at the pink area...new Bent Creek Shopping Center...is where Nolensville should locate their new Town Hall! That's right...right in the center of the new shopping center! Bent Creek will help Nolensville create the kind of new/old atmosphere we need to attract new business to merge with the older historic section of town. A joint effort with Bent Creek to create and blend the old with the new not just another unplanned "strip mall", but a dedicated building and streetscape to extend from Bent Creek shopping mall to and beyond the existing historic and commercial area of older Nolensville. If you agree with this common sense plan..click on the Nolensville Town Hall website and email everybody and tell them how you feel...click on their name and the email address will appear. Do it today.

Historic Nolensville the Best of Past & Present

A beautiful small town minutes from interstate and Cool Springs Mall.

The Bent Creek folks invite you to stroll through town to see how well the locals have successfully preserved their history. Antique stores, beautiful churches, Bed and Breakfast and authentic old Feed Mill. The next great place isn't going to be another "strip mall"..people want atmosphere and a rich history. As local residents we must act now to preserve what people are moving here for to enjoy. A new town hall as a centerpiece in the new Bent Creek neighborhood shopping center just west of the older, historic section of town is exactly what atmosphere is all about. A rich mixture of old and new...ask any of the merchants in the older, historic section and they will say YES!...let's develop this area..add central sewer...streetscape downtown and merge with the eastern portion of Bent Creek neighborhood shopping center featuring a new jointly funded town hall smack dab in the center.

City Awaits Appraisal on Proposed Town Hall Property

Sunday's Tennessean 6/6/05 published an article by Bonnie Burch about how the current Nolensville Town Hall may move out of shopping center. But not so fast because the Mayor extended the current lease for 5 years in the shopping center with a 90-day notice to cancel the lease. The article says the Mayor favors a Kelley Properties site on Nolensville Road behind the Stone Cottage costing 1 million for the land and another 1 million for a new town hall building. Most of the alderman and the planning commission voted against spending 2 million dollars. Several years ago the city could have purchased the Nolensville Family Care Clinic building for only $700,000. truly a missed opportunity! Article says Mayor cited the Planning Commission for going against a previous vote on a comprehensive plan to keep the commercial center of town along a northern Nolensville direction and recommending that the town hall be farther south from this area. Despite being voted down on the 2 million dollar property it appears the Mayor authorized an appraisal on the 2 million dollar deal anyway. Ouch!!! Much unhappiness in town hall.
Second appraisal on residential home on Clovercroft is also on its way to town hall to be considered as a new town hall home. It appears a majority favor this site and the Mayor doesn't. How about a new town hall in the 9 to 13 acre Bent Creek commercial section carefully crafted to look older ala the pics on back side of Bent Creek sales brochures. This area could include the older commercial section of Nolensville and attract new home owners to enjoy the antique shops, bed & breakfast and the old feed mill. People aren't moving out to Nolensville and Bent Creek to enjoy another "strip-mall" they want atmosphere. Let an alderman and/or planning commission member know how you feel about this...including a new/old atmosphere town hall center.
