Dugger and Felts voted NO! Mayor and two
other aldermen voted yes? Now they say
the people are too late to oppose it since the
deadline has past? Says who?
Mayor wants to locate new town hall on back-
side of old shopping mall facing ball field. What
happened to the "design review committee"??
Mayor says bids will be let and the cost could
be less? Remember her last project? The road
and bridge around the church--started out at
$700,000 and ended up over 2 million or more?
Dugger and Felts are right the new town hall
should be free-standing not inside a strip mall
controlled by mall owner. This doesn't permit
any expansion and no body knows where the
town hall is on the rear-end of the strip mall.
This is not a town asset but a liability and under
the thumb of the mall owner.
Please sign the petition now being circulated
to oppose this outrageous spending of the
town's money that we don't have.
Read the Tennessean article on this very poor
judgement of the Mayor and two aldermen.
PS: Tell the Mayor to take out a loan and pay for
the sewer in the historic center of town. Now that's
a project that has a huge $$$$ payback to the town.
This post researched by guest writer from Franklin
who knows something about a Mayor and board
forcing thru $120 Million dollars of new streetscape
in Franklin. Sign the petition against this town hall.
