All in Favor of Mayor and 2 Aldermen Signing a Loan of Over 4 Million for New Town Hall in Old Strip Mall--Yes or No?

BREAKING NEWS! PROTEST MARCH ON
THURSDAY BOARD OF MAYOR/ALDERMEN
@ OLD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL @ 7 PM.
AGAINST STRIP MALL TOWN HALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COME & SIGN UP TO PROTEST NEW LOAN
OF 4 MILLION$$$$'S OR MORE THAT THE
TOWN DOES NOT HAVE TO SPEND! IT'S
YOUR TAX DOLLARS SO COME & HELP
STOP IT! BRING FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS!

PS: WEAR RED...THAT'S RIGHT...A RED
HAT OR SHIRT OR SCARF...CARRY A
RED FLAG...A RED LAPEL PIN--YOU GET
THE IDEA BE CREATIVE AND COME TO

THE MEETING THURSDAY EVE..7 PM.!!

Dugger and Felts voted NO! Mayor and two
other aldermen voted yes? Now they say
the people are too late to oppose it since the
deadline has past? Says who?

Mayor wants to locate new town hall on back-
side of old shopping mall facing ball field. What
happened to the "design review committee"??

Mayor says bids will be let and the cost could
be less? Remember her last project? The road
and bridge around the church--started out at
$700,000 and ended up over 2 million or more?

Dugger and Felts are right the new town hall
should be free-standing not inside a strip mall
controlled by mall owner. This doesn't permit
any expansion and no body knows where the
town hall is on the rear-end of the strip mall.
This is not a town asset but a liability and under
the thumb of the mall owner.

Please sign the petition now being circulated
to oppose this outrageous spending of the
town's money that we don't have.

Read the Tennessean article on this very poor
judgement of the Mayor and two aldermen.

PS: Tell the Mayor to take out a loan and pay for
the sewer in the historic center of town. Now that's
a project that has a huge $$$$ payback to the town.

This post researched by guest writer from Franklin
who knows something about a Mayor and board
forcing thru $120 Million dollars of new streetscape
in Franklin. Sign the petition against this town hall.

Mayor said she cannot stop this decision? Sounds like Obama-speak from Wash. D.C.. Nonsense...folks get up and sign the petition to oppose this and if it doesn't stop immediately we'll see you in court.
Nobody goes to the meetings because the board doesn't listen and does what it wants?

Blog brings up a good question? How many people on the Mayor's design review committee are really working for the mall owner? My neighbor says he knows but won't say cause he don't want any trouble. Something is beginning to smell?

10:38 let me answer your question. It is the owner of the mall. Surprised? I'm not. It's what Mayors and aldermen do. Cave into a developer. This whole deal was hatched months ago. The Mayor & 2 aldermen, the design review bunch and the planning board have been bought & paid for by the mall owner.
Can't remember his name. Starts with a T? Tirano or Tiano. $$$$ talks.

9:17 is right! Why go to a meeting? Mayor and friends do as they please.
They don't want to hear any body who doesn't agree with them. Dugger and Felts are right. Can local residents take them to court? Anybody know?

I just read the Tennessean article on this new town hall. I thought the town was broke? No new homes being built so no money coming into the town bank account. How can town qualify for a loan and pay it back?
Mayor must have voted for the big zero (Obama). He knows how to get the money and force voters to accept the money or else. How can we stop this robbery?

Hey 10:38 I looked up the name of the mall owner. It is Tisano and it looks like he has bought the Mayor and Thomas and Alexander plus the planning board and the design review group and the new economic development group. Nobody left but us taxpayers to foot the bill of these conflict of interest public office toadies. Why does this all remind me of the mess in D.C.?

10:45 If your neighbor won't tell you who is working for Tisano the mall owner I will. His name is Hapell and I think he is still on the board for design review. Nice and cozy conflict but who cares?
The Mayor doesn't. Some aldermen don't. Corruption is alive and well in Nolensville and Franklin.

11;24 the lady is a big republican who worked for John McCain but who cares. this is OUR town and OUR town hall and OUR taxes that will have to pay for it or beg to have the developing start up again.
Either way we're in deed doggy doo doo if she has her way. its not too late to tell her how we feel.

The last mayoral campaign was full of lies, defamation, and low handed tactics beyond your imagination to get Lothers into office. The Town of Nolensville voted overwhelming for Lothers (who could do no wrong) so live with your mistake.

9:28..Oh how right you are. Lothers is not qualified for public office
She did nothing to stop the lies, defamation and law breaking to win the election. She used local churches and hid her lack of qualifications. And she continues to make serious mistakes costing the town millions of dollars.

I wish someone would report them to the State's Attorney....they are corrupt and there are many many many examples of it. Once I leave this town, I may have to do it myself!
