ANYBODY KNOW IF OUR MILL CREEK IS POLLUTED? FRANKLIN'S WATER SOURCE HARPETH RIVER IS POLLUTED!

Is our mighty "Mill Creek" pure as the driven snow?
Or is it a very big "dirty little secret" that our very
own Mill Creek is polluted? Old Timers tell us that
EPA several years ago buried down deep some kind
of pollution "sensors" in secret locations with read-out
monitors that determine level of pollution.

Apparently they obtain this data and record the results?
Of course, rumors tell us that the level of pollution is way
beyond acceptable levels? Why you ask? Well for starters
too many homes and businesses are still operating on
"failing" septic tank systems along the entire length of
Mill Creek.

HELLO! New mayor this is your chance to get involved
and get behind local citizens effort to bring sewer over/
under Mill Creek to Historic area of town. ASAP contact
the potential new owner of Waller Funeral Home and
convince him why he should become a part of effort to
bring sewer under Nolensville Road. Almost everyone
on both sides of Nolensville road will sign up to hook on
and enjoy the increased added value to their properties.

TIP: TO New mayor...during your campaign to run for
mayor you said " I'm not running for or against anyone...
I just want to facilitate to get things done. Oboy...here's
your chance to "facilitate-away" and get the good-ole-
boys and the newcomers to work together and make
this new sewer connection happen ASAP. "Bring-it-on!
The sooner the better.

$200 MILLION SHORT FALL IN TDOT ROADING BUILDING BUDGET? GOODBY "BY-PASS" FOR NOLENSVILLE

Nolensville"s proposed by-pass around the town by
TDOT was estimated to be some 5 to 8 years in the
future. Now with this $200 million shortfall in TDOT
funds officials tell us we need to push all proposed
projects far into the future.

Governer Bredesen "swiped" 66 million dollars from
the TDOT budget to fund other projects...with no
intent to replace it. TDOT has already frozen all
hiring of road contractors and sub-contractors.
TDOT officials say this is a very serious problem
that require wide spread belt tightening.

Click Here for Tennessean TDOT Article.

Nolensville"s new mayor Lothers said in a recent
issue of the Nolensville Dispatch that she was
busy meeting wth state and county leaders to
develop strong relationships. Sounds good in the
paper, but the article was peppered with uses of
the personal pronoun "I", "I am or "I will or "I plan"
to do this or that? Like whatever happened to her
highly touted election campaign promise of
working thru the people via many, many, many,
committees? (Far too many). She says "she plans to
use this column to update Nolensville on the many
discussions..ask for feedback and announce upcom-
ing projects." Sounds like oleaginous boilerplate prose
about her readiness to respond to we don't know
what???

Since our new mayor has elected to use the non-
partisan (Wink?) Nolensville Dispatch as her way
of communicating with local residents then let's
ask for answers in print to the following crisis
questions? Old and new residents want to know?

1. How do you intend to replace the millions of
dollars lost by our elected officials in "impact fees"
never collected from some 15 or more housing
developments? Don't forget the State has out-
lawed any new "impact fees" period.

2. How do you intend to pay for the Waller Road
repairs that Brentwood says our share is about
$400,000?

3. How do you intend to pay for the Rocky Fork
road realignment plus new bridge estimated to
cost ONE MILLION DOLLARS?

4. How do you intend to pay for the much needed
expansion of our fire hall--our share $210,000?

5. How do you intend to pay for any expansion or
new building of Rec Center?

6. How do you intend to pay for a new town hall?

7. How do you intend to pay for additional Fire and
Police protection for all the new housing develop-
ments?

8. How do you intend to pay for all the old and new
road maintenance repairs due to new housing
developments?

9. How do you intend to replace the estimated
$14,000 lost per month in sales tax receipts now
gone due to Piggly Wiggly departure?

10. How do you intend to pay for the Sewer
Extension into Historic Area? Tip: ASAP work
with Feed Mill Owner who (may) bring sewer
across Mill Creek then new owners of Waller
Funeral Home may help bring sewer under-
neath Nolensville Road. Business owners and
residents on both sides of Nolensville road
will gladly hook-up even with a fee!

11. How do you intend to secure all the much
needed new funds for our town budget that is
obviously way beyond overdrawn..almost
empty and in desperate need of professional
help outside current town hall abilities?

We await your next personal pronoun presentation
of how "I" will work a money miracle overnight to
cover the outrageous lack of leadership now present
and absent for past ten years. Sad to say Nolensville
is not alone...Murfreesboro leaders say they don't
know what they will do "all their financial eggs were
in the impact fees basket" that is no longer available?

NEW LAW SAYS NO TO NOLENSVILLE CHARGING ANY NEW IMPACT FEES FOR 2007 & BEYOND!

Hate to say we told you so, but our local town hall
leadership refused to charge any IMPACT FEES FOR
ANY OF the 15 or more housing developments surround-
ing our town for the last 10 years! Now a new law prevents
them from doing it at all...PERIOD. Guess who will be
required to come up with the millions of dollars in
lost impact fees to service these new housing develop-
ments??? That's right YOU the local resident. DO NOT
LET ANYONE TELL YOU OUR TOWN IS FISCALLY
SOUND WITH ENOUGH MONEY TO MAINTAIN ALL
THE NEW CITY STREETS, EXPAND THE POLICE AND
FIRE DEPARTMENTS, ETC., ETC., ETC.

Finance Lesson 101-for New Mayor and Vice-Mayor.
Please tell local voters the truth about Town's Budget.
Yes, the State Adequate Facilities Tax on each new home
has enabled Nolensville to deposit some 1 Million Dollars
in this account. BUT...after town pays their share of road
maintenance on Waller Road ($400,000) and expansion
of the Fire Hall ($200,000) and about a cool One Million
to re-route Rocky Fork Road and build a new bridge.
Add all this up plus other "unknowns" and even a third
grade student will tell the town THEY ARE BROKE OUT
OF MONEY. And no ability to charge new impact fees?

Read the entire article from the Tennessean 1/23/07

"Cities and counties cannot impose new taxes on develop-
ments or raise existing impact fees except under conditions
set out in a law passed at the end of the last legislative
session, the state attorney general says. " Click on link
above to read entire article.

HELLO NOLENSVILLE...REMEMBER WHEN FORMER
MAYOR KNAPPER SAID "NOLENSVILLE WILL NEVER
HAVE A PROPERTY TAX." SO MUCH FOR GOOD GOV-
ERNMENT LEADERSHIP.

PS: TOWN BOARD HIRED AN OUTSIDE CONSULTING
GROUP FOR "X" THOUSANDS TO STUDY WHETHER
TOWN COULD CHARGE IMPACT FEES? WELL THE
STATE ANSWERED THAT QUESTION..."NO!" MORE
MONEY TOTALLY WASTED BY OUR TOWN HALL
LEADERSHIP.

Send in your comments and emails...whether you know it or
not or even if you don't care...Nolensville and many other
smaller cities are in a very big BIND! Of course Brentwood
and Franklin with professional, full time city managers have
charged impact fees for years. Nolensville needs a full time
24-7 professional town manager who is fiscally responsible
to do what needs to be done to avoid total financial failure.

"I'm in to win it" Two for One? Yeah...but we are full up with the Clintons! Both of Them. Please peddle them far away!

34% and going down! Latest polls show nomination
drifting downstream and Obama coming upstream.
Surely, American voters won't fall for this Clinton
combination again? Not when they have got all of
the other wanna-be's on a list that grows by the
very minute. Even Kerry says he will probably
throw his "magic-hat" in the ring any day now?

MR. TOM MOON IS BACK! SAYS HE CANCELLED LAW SUIT AGAINST ALDERMAN. WONDER WHY? SO DO WE?

Mr. Tom Moon
Silver Stream
Developer on
Rocky Fork.

As an attorney, Mr. Moon, doesn't cancel a lawsuit for
nothing! Wonder what he might want in return? How
about the town quietly adding his subdivision inside
our city limits? And helping him rezone property down
on York road for more subdivisions? Don't forget the
board voted this down in 2006 and it should remain
until one year later before another vote is attempted.
Let's all watch and see if this comes up for a vote ASAP?

Originally, Mr. Moon offered to help build a new road
and bridge around the Methodist Church to meet the
new Clovercroft road on Nolensville road.

Hello Mayor Lothers...why not get Mr. Moon to pay
for the road and bridge and a new traffic light? Ask
Mr. Dugger to help you swing this new deal...he knows
Mr. Moon very well. Nothing like a realtor and a
developer working things out to benefit each other
and hopefully our town! Don't forget these two people
have been working together long before you became
Mayor...so give the assignment to Mr. Dugger ASAP.

Send in your comments and opinions about how to
get some practical help from these developers?

WHY ARE FRANKLIN POLICE HUNTING DOWN COYOTES?

NOLENSVILLE HAS COYOTES--THE FOUR LEGGED
KIND--ROAMING OUR NEARBY HILLS--SERENADING
OUR CATTLE AND GOAT HERDS. FRANKLIN POLICE
ARE NOW TRYING TO TRAP THEM AND THEN WHAT?

What happens after police trap the coyotes?

To the Editor:
To forestall more "hate" mail telling me to stay out of Franklin's
business, let me state that as a resident of Tennessee, I have a
right to be concerned about the fate of Franklin's coyotes. Also,
there are coyotes living in my area of mixed farmland and hous-
ing developments. We seem to be able to coexist with them with
a minimum of trouble. We hear them at night but only very
occasionally see them. We have lost poultry now and then to pre-
dators — coyotes, foxes, bobcats, raccoons — but when this
happens we rightly blame ourselves and make the necessary
adjustments and improvements in our husbandry. With that said,
I have questions about the plan to use Franklin city police to trap
the coyotes that are perceived to be a problem in the proposed
park area.I applaud the use of humane traps to capture the
animals but I have to ask, "What then?" Will the trapped coyotes
be euthanized? Shot? Relocated? Which authority is assuming
responsibility for the animals' fate? TWRA? U.S. Fish and Wildlife?
USDA Wildlife Services? Who is footing the bill for this undertaking?
Why are the city police being tasked with this problem? Did they
volunteer? Are they qualified to handle a rabies-vector species?
Do the city officials know that besides the government wildlife
agencies there are several wildlife entrapment and relocation
businesses in the area?I know and understand that the city
officials only want to protect their citizens from stress and injury.
But is harassment and extermination of an entire species that
God saw fit to create the best solution? And what will parents tell
their children when they ask what happened to the coyotes that
lived in the park? And what do the city officials plan to do when
the prey species that the coyotes control suddenly experience
population booms and start invading the park?

DOES NOLENSVILLE REQUIRE DEVELOPERS TO SAVE OUR TREES?

Here's how housing developers treat the trees in Franklin?
Wonder if Nolensville Planning has any regulations whatso-
ever about how many trees a new housing developer can
"clear-cut" like the picture above.

This picture looks all too familar to older residents of our
town who can remember where the trees did grow? Add
to that the MTEC crews coming through every now and
then "clear-cutting" trees without any permit whatsoever.

Your area maybe next for this kind of treatment? What
can you do? Well for starters call, email our new Mayor
and alderman. Middle Tennesse Electric is supposed to
tell you when they are going to trim trees in your neighbor-
hood. It's bad enough when far too many landscapes are
being destroyed...so let's try to save the trees?

TODAY LIFE COMES AT EVERYONE FAST & FURIOUS! SO WHAT'S COOKING AT TOWN HALL? ANYBODY HEARD ANYTHING?

Used to be two cans and a string would do! Not anymore!
Communications today are swift, to the point and do not
allow anyone to hide their performance in elected office!

The $7,000 contact for the webmaster of the town's web-
site comes up for renewal soon! John Lenderman is the
webmaster of town's website and publisher of local bi-
weekly. Town leaders should not renew his contract.
He doesn't attend board meetings and is biased in his
newspaper. The website is a "static" billboard that
never produces the agenda for future meetings in time.
And the minutes for past meetings are 60 days or more
old. Town needs a new webmaster to report on events
and meetings taking place between board meetings.
Call or email our new mayor and tell them to get a new
webmaster that can update the website quickly.

Town's website can report on progress our new puppet
mayor and puppetmeister vice mayor are achieving to
fix the most dangerous intersection in Nolensville. That
being Nolensville road and Rocky Fork that desparately
needs a traffic light. Also what progress on a citizen's
staffed finance committee for responsible fiscal policies?

Time to get out your very own tin cans and a string to
send in your comments and emails here and to town
hall. Do it today. Yeah, don't remind us of the very
low turnout at the first board meeting. And yes, it
was "boring" and they trampled on accepted parlia-
mentry procedures. Seems town's voters voted
them into office and just left town...never to attend
another board meeting?

HEADS UP! ARMED ROBBERIES IN FRANKLIN! IS NOLENSVILLE NEXT?

FRANKLIN — Franklin police are investigating two armed
robberies that occurred last night between 8 and 9 p.m.The
incidents, during which victims' wallets and jewelry were taken,
occurred in the 700 block of Westminster Drive and the 400
block of Sycamore Drive in Franklin. There were two suspects
involved in each robbery. They were described as male His-
panics, both about 5 feet 8 inches tall. One was thin with a
small goatee. The other had a muscular build and was wearing
a light-colored hooded sweatshirt. These men were seen driving
a black late model vehicle, possibly a Ford Mustang. The sus-
pects are considered armed and dangerous.Anyone with infor-
mation about these incidents is asked to contact Detective
Eric Anderson at the Franklin Police Department by calling
794-2513.I wonder if these armed robbers are here legally?

FIRST TOWN BOARD MEETING FOR NEW YEAR, THURS. 1/4/07, REVEALS AUTHENTIC "PUPPET MASTER"!

Guess who is the Puppet and who is the Puppet-Master?
Times up! Last nites board meeting proved beyond any
shadow of doubt just who is still running our local govern-
ment and who is being held-up by very tight strings to
play the Puppet role! You just won't believe what took
place. It is almost unbelievable, but true!

Our new puppet Mayor Lothers after being sworn-in
offered up a motion to appoint, Ken Thomas a newly
sworn-in alderman, as a new Vice-Mayor. Can you
say it went over like a "lead-balloon"?

Alexander the Pudmeister and former vice-mayor
stared in total disbelief at former interim-mayor Dugger.
Surely she (Lothers) must be joking? Ken Thomas
has not one shred of experience in local government?

Lothers asked for a second to her motion and Ken
Thomas seconded the motion to appoint himself as
vice-mayor? Totally WRONG against proper parlia-
mentary procedure! How embarrassing? Her first
motion as a new mayor and she had to ask Thomas
himself to second the motion to appoint himself as
the new vice-mayor? DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY-
THING ABOUT PARLIAMENTARY PROCESS?
NOTESTINE TOWN MAYOR IGNORED IT?
NO SUPPORT for new mayor and her creditability

is in serious question? Let's just "make-it-up" as
we go! Nobody attends the meetings so who cares?

Alexander offered up his opinion about Thomas' lack
of experience and how important it was to have a
vice-mayor with some experience in local government.
Dugger agreed with Alexander's opinion.

Lothers' motion for Thomas as vice-mayor was
voted down! So she asked the board what to do
now? Alexander quickly offered up another motion
for Dugger as vice-mayor. And GET THIS...Dugger
SECONDED THE MOTION TO ELECT HIMSELF
VICE-Mayor. Correct Parliamentary procedure

doesn't permit this, but SO WHAT Dugger has
done it before and nobody complained. So why not
do it again...over and over? Where oh where is our
town counsel?

Vote was called for and Alexander the Pudmeister
voted yes, Thomas yes and Lothers who by now
saw the "hidden ultimatum" you do exactly what
we tell you to do. Nothing more, nothing less!
Yes, Lothers voted for Dugger as Vice-Mayor.

Hello local voters! Welcome to Disney-World!
Last nite our new puppet-mayor tried to do
something "on-her-own" without consulting
with Dugger and Alexander. She received a
very strong and somewhat painful "jerk" on
her puppet-strings. "Next time you check with
us before you do anything...period." This was
the beginning and end of her reign as an in-
dependent mayor.

The blog predicted this would happen! But
so soon? Unbelievable? Yet true! Attention
all those that voted...doesn't matter for who?
Four more years of monthly "PUPPET-PLAYS"
featuring our vice-mayor as the mayor
behind the mayor as puppet-meister. And
our new puppet-mayor Lady Beth. It just
can't get any worse than this.
