October 2007 Elections in Franklin Force Citizen Comments that Apply to Nolensville!

Total voter
frustration
and voter
apathy rule
Franklin's
October
Elections?

Listen to citizen comments:

“I believe that the reason infra-
structure has taken a back seat to other
projects is that infrastructure is not
glamorous. However, without the continu-
ed growth of our infrastructure we will not
be able to sustain the economic growth
that we have enjoyed over the past decade.

Roads, water, sewer, are necessary to
attract new businesses and quality develop-
ments to this city. There has not been a
significant road project in years.
We are
currently under a water restriction order
while the City of Franklin has NEVER done
a long range water usage plan.
How 'bout
Nolensville's long range water plan?

The city has approved several large re-
sidential projects at Goose Creek and is
providing pump and hall sewage for these
development free of charge because there
is no sewer anywhere near these develop-
ments. We need to plan to initiate long range
planning on all infrastructure in Franklin.
(Nolensville, too?)

We need to get out in front of the develop-
ment in this city rather than behind it. We
should not wait until our infrastructure is
over burdened before we plan and expand
that infrastructure.

What is wrong with building a road before it
is at excess capacity?” Sounds like Rocky
Fork and the new school traffic at Nolens-
ville road?

What comes first? 16 new developments or
the service plan to guarantee police, fire and
traffic control BEFORE DEVELOPMENTS ARE
ALLOWED TO BUILD!
