NEW NOLENSVILLE TOWN CENTER "MAY?" "MAYBE?" "NOT SURE?" BE BUILT IN CURRENT STRIP MALL?

QUESTION IS? WHERE OH WHERE ISTHE HISTORIC
CENTER OF TOWN? Nolensville Mayor says.." It (the
strip mall) seems to be the correct location as what

the founding leaders determined to be the center of
town." Sorry Mayor such is just NOT SO!

The historic center of town is along Nolensville
road where the old feed mill is located
and other
well known historic buildings. Such as former
grocery store and auto dealership. Many historic
buildings are still in
good condition, but with one
exception no central sewer system.
Not true you say? Oh yes very true!

How come the Historic area surrounded by some
16 new housing developments has no central
sewer?

Well here is the big dirty little secret...our town
leaders forgot about the historic area when they
approved permits to build 16 new housing deve-
lopments?

Our elected officials had no "guts" in demanding
that the Nashville sewer line be extended into the
historic area by nearby housing developments in
return for an approved building permit.

So now our fearful elected officials have turned
their backs on the historic area and expect some
35 property owners in the historic area to pay multi-
plied thousands of dollars to install a central sewer
system without any serious amount of help from
the town.

No wonder that the Mayor has moved the center
of the town to the strip mall and has had the
"founding fathers" conveniently re-write history
to fit her statement to the press.
So much for politics as usual.

I cannot believe the Mayor doesn't know the early history of Nolensville? The blog is right the town started in the historic area which was the center of town. For her to pander to a developer and try to say the town's founding fathers would agree that the center of town is in the strip mall is outrageous. She has no qualifications to be Mayor period.

2:43PM you are right, but naw the cost will be closer to 6 million. The developer is not done with the Mayor yet. Yup, Mayor can spend and spend on a town hall, but she cannot fund sewers for the true center of town which she can't seem to find. 9:07PM is also right.
Mayor is not qualified to serve.

Hey everybody...you al forgot the Mayor's new bridge and road next to the Methodist church. Maybe done in 2009 costing 2 and one-half million. Original cost $700,000.
A mere $1,800.000 over budget. More than enough to get fired in private business.

goodness... please lessen the intake of Mountain Dew and lower your expectations. It is government, which implicitly means waste. And local government too, so it is so much about influence and experience. the bears have much more experience catching big fish having learned from multiple salmon runs, while the salmon simply get caught. when was the last time you saw the salmon organize and chase the bears to another stream. they only move on when this current stream has less fish or more bears. it is nature... or the salmon get real smart and real fast by learning from the salmon in front of them, now capable of evading paws and teeth. you wanted the job(s), just do the job(s. learn not to get caught!

Hello 7:09 AM It took my family a couple of days to stop laughing. Your comments are so completely accurate when it comes to government. Local, state and Federal it is all the same. Just do whatever to get elected and then do whatever you want...just don't get caught. Forget the voters
most don't follow what you are doing. And there are too many that won't understand the blog post and/or your comments. Too bad.
