PEOPLE'S BANK QUESTIONS TO ASK INTERIM MAYOR DUGGER, THURS. 10/5-7 PM?

Next, thursday 10/5, 7-PM, interim mayor's
board meeting will consider a second reading
on making People's State Bank a depository
for town funds.
Item #13 on agenda, Ordin-
ance #6-22 second reading will be voted on
and if passed will become law. As a local citi-
zen and voter here are some selected quest-
ions that you should ask the interim mayor.

1. Will you apologize to Nolensville citizens
that you were wrong in passing a resolution
to name Peoples Bank as a depository instead
of using an Ordinance?
And admit that Mr.
Huffer, of TML didn't recommend a resolution
but rather an Ordinance per phone call by
blogger staff.

2. Will you sponsor a motion to rescind the
resolution you passed in July '06 to name
the Peoples Bank as a depository for town
funds
and establish you and town recorder
as the only authorized people to determine
where to deposit town's funds? And if you
do get a new Ordinance sponsored not by
you to do the above you will not vote for
yourself?

3. Will you have another alderman sponsor
a new Ordinance to name Peoples Bank as a

depository and establish you and town
recorder as authorized persons to deter-

mine where to deposit town funds in Peoples
Bank?(and not vote for yourself.). This
means #6-20 Ordinance on the agenda is
illegal and should be cancelled.
Also it
means that the authorization of yourself
and town recorder as being in charge of
town's investment funds doesn't carry over
from the July resolution (mistake) to a new
Ordinance. Correct procedure requires a
new Ordinance to authorize you and town
recorder as being in charge of town's invest-
ment funds.

4. Will you present a NEW LETTER from
Peoples Bank outlining a new offer
to the
town for depositing ( how much) funds in
their bank that doesn't include "the fluff"
you referred to as free checking & savings
accounts. Low cost discounted loans and
ATM cards for aldermen and town emplo-
yees?

5. Will you as interim mayor "level" with the
residents of Nolensville
as to why it is so nec-
essary to open a new account for town funds
with Peoples Bank.?

6. Will you as interim mayor invite First Tenn-
essee Bank
our official town depository since
1996 to match or exceed Peoples Bank offer?

7. Will you as interim mayor explain to local
citizens why you are so against establishing a
committee of finance
with qualified people to
determine where to invest town funds?

8. Will you as interim mayor explain why you
are so committed to taking on the full liability
for investment funds to yourself
something that
all expert financial advisors say is very wrong!

ATTENTION LOCAL RESIDENTS! Pick a
question you like and sign up at the meeting
on thurs.to ask the interim mayor your ques-
tion. Only you as a local resident can turn
back this illegal tide of ignoring proper pro-
cedures
and demand the interim mayor to
stop sponsoring motions that involve his
appointment & voting for himself...it is
ILLEGAL! GOT IT?

Send your comments and emails ASAP. Don't
miss this next to last board meeting before the
election. Be there! Bring your neighbors, too.
