Nolensville New Cell Phone Tower Benefits Who on the Planning Commission?

Who on the Nolensville Planning Commission will
profit the most from a new local cell phone tower
in their own backyard? Read Kelly Dever's letter
to the blog to find out.

"Just wanted to see if you were going to post info-
rmation about tomorrows (thurs.) meeting.

My property is behind the property (owned by the
Blankenships, who I was told is the daughter of
Frank Wilson of the planning committee) and of
course, I am extremely against it.(Cell Phone
Tower).

I have been trying to find out information and from
what I have been told about this proposed cell
tower, is that there is nothing anyone can do about
it?

Apparently Mr. Wilson tried to get a tower on his
land, and was denied because he was too close to
an historic building so he sent them (Verizon) over
to his daughters land. There they found graves from
the 1800's (which they say they didn't know where
there, but I don't believe that for one minute) so they
had to move the site a few hundred yards down.

I always hear about the board being conservative
and trying to maintain the historic part of Nolensville
but here a board member (Frank Wilson) seems to
be actively seeking this tower and of course will profit
from it.

I have contacted the Tennessean and hope they cover it
as well. I hope the town will be cautious as this will set
precedent for future towers, but they seem to think there
is nothing to be done but let Verizon do what they want.

Sincerely, Kelly R. Dever

Hello Kelly Dever...you probably forgot that Frank Wilson went around the town council and made a deal with Bent Creek on the new road around cemetery. He got water and sewer taps in return for allowing road to be built on part of his property. He is still looking out for himself. No conflict of interest here?

i wouldn't want a road through my property at aqll but they would pay me for it more than sewer and water taps.

the wilsons are a very nice family but one year ago their property was in the historic district but was taken out. Maybe this tower is why????

Look what happened in La Vergne...they drew up a cell tower law, but denied it because they said it might cause problems for their emergency services. I bet Verizon had checks in the mail the next day.
